Experience and Capabilities
- Prior experience in leading a global capability center
- Knowledge of many aspects of the IT ecosystem and emerging trends
- Knowledge and experience driving process improvement/continuous improvement programs
- Demonstrated experience crafting the overall roadmap and crafting demand for enterprise platform consumption
- Driving platform and team alignment with the business strategy, roadmap, and platform governance policies
- Improving technology asset value by pinpointing additional business outcomes facilitated by the platform
- Demonstrated experience presiding over technical governance board and participate in all governance components
- Demonstrated experience in developing configuration decisions to ensure a seamless user experience which aligns with our platform development strategy
- In depth knowledge of IT Service Management practices, Application & Technology Lifecycle Management, Enterprise and Solution architecture and Cyber Security.
Primary Responsibilities
Service Delivery:
- Handle the relationship and service delivery of our key managed services partners. Focus on driving continuous improvement, innovation and automation for service delivery. Seek new opportunities for mutually beneficial growth in managed service partnerships.
- Translate business needs into effective and improved processes and/or technical solutions or services coordinating with associated technology partners both internally and externally.
Technology Leadership:
- Supervise the IT leadership team to boost Baxters brand, foster community and engagement across all teams, manage vendor relationships, handle local issues and escalations, develop our next generation of IT leaders.
- Guide teams in financial management processes like zero-based budgeting, 'Real-time' forecasting, and developing cases with clear value commitments, general return on investment principles.
- Communicate with various levels of management and internal partners to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
- Monitor technology investment, risk and opportunity while providing clear, consistent communication to senior IT leadership.
- Collaborate across Baxter globally and with key internal and external business stakeholders.
- Identify, plan and implement (or consult as appropriate) technology platform consolidations, automations and innovations.
- Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with various collaborators; demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Take active role in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to sustain Baxters growth strategy through fast and efficient M.A.D. or equivalent experience delivery.
India Leadership:
- Lead the physical site operations and culture. Act with accountability to oversee and resolve site-level issues like managing closures during inclement weather, coordinating and collaborating across teams on leadership visits, ensure the adoption of the cultural elements in our Drive framework.
- Coordinate with the local team and represent Baxter as a One-Baxter external voice.
- Ensure the site aligns with government regulations, legal requirements, safety, and ethical standards.
- Work with Global Real Estate as required to address any real estate strategy, office location changes, office movement projects.
- Be an ambassador of Baxter in the talent market.
- Promote the Drive by working closely with other managers at the site to achieve a common culture for the site.
- Support a one-Baxter employee experience so new all employees joining the site, regardless of what function, experience the same journey.
- As a member of Baxters India Governance Council (IGC), you will contribute with fellow IGC members to:
- Ensure a unified culture across India that aligns with the Drive strategy and supports Baxters mission.
- Define a cohesive India strategy encompassing Baxters branding, employee engagement, and crisis management.
- Make cross-site decisions collectively.
- Contribute to, support, and lead policies and practices that impact all employees in India.
- Discuss employees' concerns and identify actionable solutions that benefit the broader India workforce.
Qualifications
- Experience in Life Sciences and/or Medtech industries
- 15+ years leading business technology, including 5+ years building and developing global tech teams in mid to large companies.
- Full life cycle management of large enterprise-wide application deployment
- Experience delivering successful mergers, acquisition and divestiture programs
- History of strong client support through technology management
- Strong commercial awareness and judgement
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and formal education in relevant fields (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degreed)
