Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is looking to hire an experienced Procurement leader to head its India Procurement function as part of its Global Procurement team.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving procurement transformation, operational excellence, stakeholder management and capability building across global procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering closely with the Global Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to define and execute the procurement strategy and India roadmap.
- Leading and managing the India Procurement function, including delivery oversight, capacity planning, talent management and team development.
- Driving procurement transformation initiatives across digital procurement, automation, analytics and process optimization.
- Overseeing procurement operations including sourcing, supplier management, procure-to-pay processes, governance reporting and third-party risk controls.
- Managing relationships with senior global stakeholders across business, risk, legal, finance and procurement teams.
- Establishing robust governance frameworks, KPIs, SLAs and operational controls to ensure quality, compliance and service excellence.
- Driving value creation through cost optimization, supplier performance improvement and enhanced procurement efficiency.
- Building a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 20+ years of experience across procurement, sourcing, supply chain or related commercial leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large procurement teams within a Global Capability Centre (GCC), shared services or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of global procurement operating models, strategic sourcing, supplier management and procurement governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing senior global stakeholders and operating within complex matrix organizations.
- Experience leading procurement transformation, operating model enhancement and digital procurement initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience within financial services, professional services, technology or other regulated industries would be preferred.
- MBA, supply chain or procurement certifications such as CIPS, CPSM or equivalent would be advantageous.
