Sr. Data Scientist - Tech startup - As a Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML), you will be a data evangelist to the cofounders where you will have the opportunity to leverage our rich data and our state-of-the-art indexing technology to build new data products that are used by users in the digital world. - You will utilize our dataset to build algorithms and conduct independent analyses to uncover new opportunities in the organization. The role requires a rare combination of sophisticated analytical expertise; business acumen; a strategic mindset; and a passion for generating business impact. To succeed in this role, we'd love for you to have: - Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics or related quantitative field. - 5+ years of relevant experience focused on building and delivering real-world machine learning models with demonstrated impact. - Strong Quantitative Programming skills in a language such as Python. - Experience using and developing data architectures - Experience in deriving insights from data and explaining to the business stakeholders how feature A would affect feature B using models (eg. regression) with exceptional oral and written communication. - Experience with building a recommender system using a combination of algorithms (eg. matrix factorisation) while deriving causal inference from it. - Experience with gathering text data from users and building, evolving and training NLP models. - Knowledge and application experience in advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including, regression, distribution properties, statistical testing, etc. - Experience/knowledge in distributed data and computing tools, including, MapReduce, MySQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc. - Ability to use data visualization tools to showcase data for stakeholders using D3, ggplot, Periscope, and more - Conceptually familiar with Google Cloud platform, Google Analytics 350 and big query ML. - Excel at taking vague requirements and crystallizing them into scalable data solutions - Excited about operating independently, demonstrating excellence, and learning new technologies and frameworks Superpowers/Bonus : - Relevant social media industry experience - Knowledge of causal inference and sentiment analysis Expected Key Deliverables : - Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modelling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations for business requirements. - Leverage big data to explore and introduce areas of analytics and technologies. - Deriving business insights and leveraging data to help make business decisions. - Ability to directly affect the top line of the organization using data insights. - Translate business requirements for the business into equivalent modelling tasks. - Search for ways to get new data sources from the existing application and assess their accuracy - Explain in clear and concise oral as well as written communication how each feature in the data would affect the business with proper reasoning. - Design, develop and improve custom data models and algorithms eg virality potential of posts - Design, develop and improve content, user and environment profiling models - Design, develop and improve recommender systems as well as predictive models to improve customer experience, ad targeting, revenue generation, virality potential of posts and more - Design, develop and improve NLP-based models to classify data and work on sentiment analysis - Coordinate with various technical/functional teams to implement models and monitor results - Develop processes, techniques, and tools to analyze and monitor model performance while ensuring data accuracy - Browse and analyze enterprise databases to simplify and improve product development, marketing techniques, and business processes What we have to offer: - Competitive financial rewards + annual PLI (Performance Linked Incentives) - Hybrid mode of working with the base location being New Delhi - Exposure to Web 3.0 - Meritocracy-driven, candid & diverse culture. - Company trips and virtual bonding activities.
