Senior Data Scientist/Lead Data Scientist

Job Description:

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist/Lead Data Scientist for a global analytics organization that helps leading enterprises leverage data, machine learning, and customer insights to solve complex business challenges.

Location: Gurgaon

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week from office)

Experience: 4 - 7 years

Role & Responsibilities:

- Build and deploy machine learning and statistical models to solve complex business problems.

- Develop predictive models and customer analytics solutions that drive business decisions.

- Apply advanced analytical techniques to customer segmentation, pricing, promotions, and behavioural analytics.

- Translate business challenges into scalable data science solutions.

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and measurable business impact.

- Work across the complete model lifecycle, from problem definition to deployment and optimization.

Key Skills:

- Python, SQL, Machine Learning (Mandatory), PySpark (Good to Have)

- Statistical Modelling, Predictive Analytics, Customer Segmentation, Customer Behaviour Analytics, Pricing Analytics, Promotional Strategy Analytics, Decision Trees, Regression Analysis, Classification Models, Time Series Forecasting, Random Forest etc.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Applied Data Science or Machine Learning.

- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

- Experience with PySpark is an added advantage.

- Strong understanding of traditional Data Science and Machine Learning concepts.

- Experience working on customer-focused analytics problems.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong communication skills.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.

- Candidates with strong experience in customer analytics, retail analytics, consulting, or CPG/FMCG analytics environments will be preferred.

- Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period are highly preferred.

Important Hiring Criteria:

- Female candidates: Immediate joiners or candidates with a maximum 30-day notice period will be prioritised. Candidates must be available for a face-to-face interview (virtual interviews will not be considered).
