A leading global investment firm is building a next-generation enterprise data platform and is hiring a Senior Data Engineer / Data Platform Architect.

This role will own the architecture and delivery of a cloud-native data ecosystem built on Microsoft Fabric, supporting trading, risk, and investment analytics.

The position involves defining data architecture standards, building scalable pipelines, and partnering with front-office and technology leadership in a high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and own the end-to-end enterprise data platform using Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse architecture

- Design scalable data ingestion frameworks (CDC, incremental pipelines) from multiple internal systems

- Build robust analytical data models and semantic layers for advanced reporting and analytics

- Establish data governance, quality, and security standards in a regulated environment

- Develop dimensional models to support trading, P&L, and financial analytics use cases

- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across technology and front-office teams

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 10 to 15 years of experience in data engineering or data platform architecture

- Strong expertise in SQL and enterprise data modelling (star schema, SCDs)

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI semantic modelling

- Exposure to financial datasets such as trading, market data, or P&L analytics

- Experience in capital markets, hedge funds, or asset management environments preferred

- Working knowledge of Python or distributed processing frameworks (PySpark, Synapse, Databricks)
