About this opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team supporting Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Credit colleagues in the UK-based Ringfenced Bank (RFB).

You will play an important role in delivering high-quality credit analysis, portfolio monitoring and covenant review activity to UK credit teams, helping them to make well-informed risk decisions for corporate clients.

The role operates within a clear service model where activities delivered by the team are directed and prioritised by UK colleagues.

Credit sanctioning, client engagement and overall risk ownership remains with UK-based teams.

What you will be doing:

Credit analysis and recommendations:

- Prepare credit analysis for counterparties and associated products, supporting Ring-Fenced Bank (RFB) and other relevant Credit teams.

- Use financial information, sector insight and external sources such as rating agency reports, broker research and annual accounts to form clear, evidence-based recommendations.

- Present your analysis through agreed templates for review by UK-based sanctioners, who retain all decision-making accountability.

- Work collaboratively with UK Coverage colleagues to gather the information needed to progress credit requests, keeping UK colleagues updated through workflow trackers and regular work-in-progress discussions.

Portfolio and excess monitoring:

- Review live excesses across relevant systems and prepare recommendations for UK sanctioner review and approval.

- Monitor an agreed portfolio of clients, identifying items that require review, follow-up or escalation.

- Assess requests using available financial, credit and sector information, and provide clear rationale to support UK decision-making.

- Proactively manage follow-up with UK Coverage colleagues to help ensure information is received in time to meet agreed service expectations.

Covenant review and MI monitoring:

- Review management information for your agreed client portfolio and assess covenant breaches or threshold triggers on behalf of relevant Credit teams.

- Use reporting tools, including Power BI, to identify when new information has been received and requires review.

- Highlight emerging risks, trends or concerns clearly and promptly to relevant UK Credit colleagues.

- Where a covenant breach or threshold trigger is identified through workflow, assess the information available and prepare a recommendation for UK sanctioner approval.

- Build effective working relationships with UK Coverage and Credit colleagues to support timely, accurate and well-controlled delivery.

Why join us:

- Be part of a growing credit capability supporting important UK CIB Credit activity.

- Gain exposure to corporate credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, covenant review and cross-location delivery.

- Work in a collaborative environment where curiosity, accuracy, continuous improvement and responsible risk management are valued.

What we are looking for:

- Understanding of credit risk principles and financial statements, with a willingness to continue developing your technical knowledge.

- Strong analytical capability and confidence interpreting financial information.

- Knowledge of lending products is important; exposure to derivatives would be beneficial but is not essential.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analysis, ask effective questions and engage constructively with stakeholders.

- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to well-controlled delivery.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines.

- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across locations and teams.

- Curiosity, independent thinking, adaptability and a willingness to learn.

- Working hours will need to align with UK operating hours to support effective collaboration with UK Credit colleagues and meet agreed service expectations.
