Role Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished SAP Consultant Contract Management (IS-Oil) to lead end-to-end solution delivery for Oil & Gas industry transformation programs in the United States. The ideal candidate will combine deep domain knowledge in Hydrocarbon Contract Management (HCM / CM) and IS-Oil downstream processes with strong SAP functional and integration expertise.

This position requires a high-impact professional capable of architecting, implementing, and optimizing SAP IS-Oil Contract Management solutions that streamline trading, pricing, nominations, and revenue recognition within complex, global energy operations. The consultant will play a strategic role in enabling digital transformation across S/4HANA-based Oil & Gas enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of SAP IS-Oil Contract Management (CM) implementations, rollouts, and enhancements.

- Collaborate with business and technical teams to design and configure Hydrocarbon Contract Management (HCM) processes for crude, refined products, and downstream operations.

- Define and deploy contract structures, pricing formulas, index-based pricing, nominations, and delivery schedules.

- Ensure seamless integration between SAP CM and core modules including SD, MM, FICO, HPM, TSW, and TD.

- Design and implement end-to-end process flows covering contract creation, execution, settlement, and revenue posting.

- Collaborate with trading, supply, and logistics functions to align contract management with supply chain operations.

- Conduct detailed business process mapping, gap analysis, and solution blueprinting for S/4HANA IS-Oil projects.

- Oversee testing, UAT, and cutover activities ensuring smooth transition to production.

- Drive optimization of pricing, allocations, and hydrocarbon stock valuation processes to improve commercial efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, audit controls, and corporate governance policies.

- Mentor junior consultants and ensure project deliverables meet quality and performance benchmarks.

- Stay current on SAP S/4HANA IS-Oil innovations and advise clients on best practices and technology roadmaps.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of SAP experience with at least 6+ years specializing in SAP IS-Oil Contract Management (CM / HCM).

- Strong hands-on configuration and solutioning experience in Hydrocarbon Contract Management, Traders and Schedulers Workbench (TSW), and Hydrocarbon Product Management (HPM).

- In-depth understanding of Oil & Gas downstream and midstream operations, including crude supply, product trading, distribution, and terminal operations.

- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA IS-Oil transformations and integration with modules such as SD, MM, PP, FICO, and EHS.

- Strong understanding of pricing formulas, index management, measurement data, and exchange agreements.

- Experience with SAP Bulk Transportation, Secondary Distribution, and TD integration preferred.

- Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to commercial and financial accuracy.

- Ability to engage directly with business stakeholders and translate complex operational needs into technical solutions.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Proven success in delivering global or multi-site SAP IS-Oil projects within the U.S. energy or petroleum sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP Certified Consultant in IS-Oil & Gas (Hydrocarbon Supply Chain or CM).

- Experience in S/4HANA IS-Oil migration or greenfield implementations.

- Familiarity with Terminal Automation Systems, SAP Ariba integration, or Digital Supply Chain (DSC) tools.

- Exposure to Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) or Commodity Management (CM) within SAP.

- Experience working with global Oil & Gas majors or leading consulting firms.

- Knowledge of Agile and SAFe project delivery frameworks.
