About role/background: All the data is different for BE, OLP, Scrum etc and they have their own repositories, data from different teams are not talking to each other, this person will consolidate the data & bring KM into the place so that search process is easier There are 3 parties involved : - Biz SME's - custodians of data - Developers - who consolidate using technologies - Knowledge consultant (current role)- providing insight on how KM system should look & how it is going to be, they will help in keywords tagging, better search of data - Communication - Excellent as the interaction with be with partners on day to day basis Responsibilities: - Provide continuous improvement recommendations regarding end-to-end KM solutions, standards, framework, tools and technology through industry research, external trends & best practices. - Enhance KM capabilities and services across all KM teams, monitor and support of pilots for new methodologies, improve or add new KM services; and assist in the development and testing of new/improved KM tools and design. - Develop new or enhance existing business partner KM programs that support the business strategies in line with the Maturity Model (OBW), KM Framework and Guiding Principles - Build, sustain and leverage relationships and people networks across portfolios, business partners and external organizations; leverage and share best practices through open communication and sharing with the KM and Best Practice teams. - Gather and analyze Voice of the Customer KM data. - Implement, refine and govern KM principals, best practices and maintaining the vision across all KM teams. - Create and lead the Knowledge community of practice and excellence within the organization, exploring opportunities to connect with knowledge communities outside of Canadian Operations, including maintaining and delivering upskilling programs for knowledge practitioners. - Establish and maintain metrics (KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)) of Knowledge Programs; performing assessments across portfolios to ensure consistency, maintain standards, provide regular status updates and reporting to OLP leadership and key business stakeholders; and provide recommendations on areas to improve. Qualifications and Experience: - University degree or college diploma in business (or equivalent number of years of experience in the insurance industry or similar industry) - 6-10 years of continuous improvement coaching, mentoring and influencing experience in a client focused environment - 5 years' work experience in Knowledge Management - Sound knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies, PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is an asset. - Consulting experience in an external or internal client facing role is preferred. - Formal training in Lean Six Sigma, including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream and other - Lean disciplines connected with cross functional team leadership of business improvements. - Working knowledge of change management methodologies
