Interest rate risk in banking book (IRRBB)

Location: Pan India

Experience preferred: 5-7 years

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth analysis of interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) for financial institutions.

- Develop and implement risk models for measuring and managing IRRBB in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

- Perform stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of interest rate movements.

- Provide advisory services on ALM (Asset-Liability Management) strategies, risk mitigation techniques, and regulatory expectations.

- Ensure compliance with Basel regulations, including IRRBB guidelines and capital adequacy requirements.

- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for IRRBB, providing insights into regulatory changes and industry best practices.

- Prepare and review business documents, process workflows, and risk frameworks to support regulatory and strategic initiatives.

- Work closely with clients to understand their risk exposure and provide strategic recommendations.

- Assist in the development of risk frameworks, policies, and procedures for effective IRRBB management.

- Collaborate with internal teams, including risk advisory, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance teams.

- Utilize techno-functional expertise to bridge the gap between business and technology for IRRBB solutions.

- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in IRRBB management.

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.

- 5 years of experience in IRRBB, ALM, or Market Risk within a consulting firm or financial institution.

- Strong understanding of Basel regulatory guidelines related to IRRBB.

- Experience in business documentation, process design, and policy formulation.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment tools, and statistical analysis.

- Hands-on experience with risk management systems and tools (e.g., QRM, BancWare, Murex, or equivalent).

- Ability to work with both business and IT teams to implement IRRBB solutions (techno-functional expertise).
