Business Analyst/Project Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Retail Banking to drive our digital transformation initiatives. You will be the critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams, focusing on revolutionizing our Customer Onboarding experience and enhancing our Online & Mobile Banking platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business acumen, technical understanding, and process optimization skills to deliver seamless, compliant, and customer-centric digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Elicitation & Analysis:
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to capture business needs for digital banking projects.
- Analyze and document "As-Is" and design "To-Be" customer journeys, business processes, and workflows.
- Develop detailed user stories, use cases, and functional specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
2. Solution Design & Documentation:
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications for technology teams.
- Create business process models, data flow diagrams, and system interface specifications.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure wireframes and prototypes meet business and user needs.
- Define requirements for integrating with third-party services (e.g., identity verification, credit bureaus, payment gateways).
3. Domain & Regulatory Compliance:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of retail banking products (deposits, payments, cards, loans) to digital feature design.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to strict KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Data Privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regulations.
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to embed controls into digital processes.
4. Project & Stakeholder Management:
- Support the Project Manager in planning, scope definition, and prioritization using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating project progress.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), create test scenarios, and support business users during rollout.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze post-launch data and user feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and new features.
- Stay abreast of digital banking trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Retail Banking or Financial Services sector.
- Proven track record working on Digital Transformation projects, specifically in:
- Digital Customer Onboarding & Account Opening
- Online Banking & Mobile Banking App development
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and security standards.
- Expertise in creating business requirements documents (BRD), functional specs (FSD), and user stories.
- Proficiency in process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Highly Desirable:
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile (e.g., CSPO, SAFe).
- Experience with API integration, core banking systems (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, FIS), and digital banking platforms.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and customer-centric design.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
