Overview

This is an opportunity to be a part of advisory firm subsidiary in India for the firms Benchmarking and Sourcing Advisory capabilities. The Indian operation has been institutionalized as a client-facing P&L that drives independent sales, new capability & product incubation, delivery efficiencies, and client management for the firm. The profile of work that currently happens in the India Office includes:

- Comprehensive Financial Analysis, Business Case, and Benchmarking to support upstream transaction, Transformation, or Sourcing Strategy (retained, outsourced, or inhouse centers)

- IT and BPO portfolio Benchmarking and Health Checks to identify areas of improvement in client existing retained and outsourced operations, service provider portfolios, spend etc

- Sourcing RFP development and rollout, service provider commercial negotiations, SOW commercial exhibits creation and client management in a sourcing journey

- Analysis and client syndication of service provider bids in the pre-BAFO and BAFO rounds

- Assist enterprise clients with provider site visits on ongoing outsourcing transactions

- Work with our external GIC advisory alliances (to execute and run client operations) in India to further the growth of the GIC advisory capability for the firm

- Lead the packaging of advisory content from the firms engagements, advisor connects, and COE engagements for internal and external publishing and marketing

The Senior Consultant will be involved in all aspects of practice management i.e.,

- Actively contribute to ongoing engagements at various stages

- On engagements with enterprise clients, this typically entails assisting in developing a business case, identifying areas of improvement in the clients environment and services portfolio, developing best-in-class targets or benchmarks for various parameters, crafting specific sections of RFPs that are rolled out to potential service providers, assessing the competitiveness of service provider proposals, setting negotiation targets, assisting in negotiations with service providers etc

- On engagements with service providers, this entails understanding the providers solution and delivery capabilities, automation frameworks, cost structures, pricing buildups etc., and compare them with custom developed benchmarks

- Maintain on an ongoing basis the IT benchmarking databases of firm IP (metrics related to pricing, performance, delivery, T&Cs etc.) with oversight / support from the practice leaders

- Get involved in recommending/instituting mechanisms (people, process, technology) for perpetual database updates

- Leverage the benchmarking database and experience to actively deliver on client projects along with the practice leaders; grow quickly to provide independent delivery and client management leverage to the leaders, as needed

- Collaborate with the practice leaders and Marketing on ideas to synthesize/package practice capabilities, IP, and engagement takeaways into marketable content

- Longer-term objectives include facilitating the growth and evolution of the practice, such as helping in the hiring and management of a team of benchmarking analysts with specific areas of focus

Responsibilities:

- Data analysis, financial modelling, benchmarking and reporting on active client engagements

- Work closely with the leaders in practice building initiatives including, benchmarking database set-up/management, active client delivery, sales & marketing support

- Provide data analysis, research support for product development as well as client engagements

- Assist other teams with pricing/contracting related inquiries and projects, as needed

Education and Experience:

We are seeking a high caliber individual to maintain our exceptional standards. This person should have:

- 4+ years of relevant experience

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and oral presentation skills

- Strong understanding of IT and Business Process outsourcing industry and transaction dynamics based on working experience with service providers OR sourcing advisory experience within management consulting firms

- Prior experience in, and ability to comprehend, trends in outsourcing, shared services, and digital transformation

- Desirable to have exposure to pricing / benchmarking in IT and/or BPO domains

- Collaborative work style; strong interpersonal and team skills

- Bachelors in Engineering / Tech; MBA preferred but the right experience and skills takes precedence
