Client Manager

Sr Category Manager Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategic plans for assigned FMCG categories to achieve sales, margin, and market share targets across e-commerce and q-commerce platforms. - Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and optimize product assortment. - Lead pricing, promotion, and merchandising strategies to maximize online visibility, conversion, and profitability. - Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure seamless product launches, availability, and customer experience. - Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; negotiate favorable terms, joint business plans, and promotional support to enhance category performance. - Monitor and manage inventory levels, product returns, and supply chain efficiencies to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations. - Oversee category P&L, budget planning, and reporting; provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management. - Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve site taxonomy, product content, and customer journey for assigned categories. - Utilize advanced analytics, syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), and digital tools to measure performance and inform decision-making. - Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance and data-driven culture. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. - 5+ years of category management experience in FMCG, with at least 3 years in e-commerce/q-commerce environments. - Demonstrated success in managing large FMCG categories and driving growth in digital channels. - Expertise in online merchandising, pricing, and promotional planning. - Proven negotiation and vendor management skills with established relationships in the FMCG sector. - Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities. - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: - Experience with rapid commerce (q-commerce) operations and strategies. - Knowledge of digital marketing, online customer acquisition, and retention tactics. - Familiarity with inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization in an e-commerce context. - Understanding of Indian retail and consumer trends (if relevant to the market).
