Section III - Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

The Senior Business Analyst will drive requirement analysis and solution delivery for Trade Finance platforms, supporting digital transformation initiatives across Trade, Supply Chain Finance, and Microfinance systems. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Analysis & Requirement Management:

- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.

- Conduct stakeholder workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and validations.

- Translate business requirements into solution design and user stories.

- Maintain high-quality documentation (BRD, FRD, use cases, process flows).

2. Trade Finance Functional Expertise:

- Drive functional analysis across Trade Finance products such as:

1. Letters of Credit (LC)

2. Bank Guarantees

3. Receivables Finance / Supply Chain Finance

4. Trade Loans and Payments

- Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks.

- Support product configuration and domain validations.

3. Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with Product Owners in backlog creation and prioritization.

- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, QA, vendors) for solution delivery.

- Ensure traceability from requirement to implementation.

4. Solutioning & Implementation Support:

- Bridge business and technical teams during design and development.

- Support system integration, UAT coordination, and defect resolution.

- Validate deliverables and ensure alignment with business expectations.

- Contribute to release planning and post-implementation support.

5. Quality, Governance & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to enterprise governance standards and documentation.

- Support audit readiness, compliance checks, and process standardization.

- Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and track resolution.

Section IV - Job Qualifications & Skills:

Domain:

Strong functional expertise in end-to-end Trade Finance lifecycle including:

1. Letters of Credit (Issuance, Amendment, Advising, Settlement)

2. Bank Guarantees / Standby LCs

3. Documentary Collections (Import/Export)

4. Trade Loans and Bills Discounting

5. Supply Chain Finance / Receivables Financing

Understanding of trade workflows, document flows, and transaction processing across banks, corporates, and counterparties.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication.

- Team collaboration.

- Documentation and knowledge sharing.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering / Finance / IT. MBA (Finance/Operations) preferred.

Certifications:

Certifications such as CBAP / PMI-PBA / Agile certifications are an advantage.

- Explain the end-to-end lifecycle of a Letter of Credit (LC).

- What are the differences between LC, Bank Guarantee, and Documentary Collection?

- What are key SWIFT messages used in Trade Finance (MT700, MT760, etc.)?

- How do you handle discrepancies in trade documents?
