Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in Private Equity, Private Credit, Fund Accounting, and Capital Markets.

This is a techno-functional, client-facing role working directly with New Yorkbased Alternative Asset teams.

Only candidates with 8-15 years of relevant fund operations domain experience should apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with PE/PC/Alt Asset SMEs to understand workflows & business needs

- Conduct Current State Future State process mapping

- Write BRD, FRD, user stories & acceptance criteria

- Break down complex business problems & propose digital solutions

- Perform data analysis & data mapping (SQL mandatory)

- Lead fund operations discussions (NAV/GAV, Reconciliation, Fees, Reporting)

- Support fund accounting systems (Investran / Geneva / eFront preferred)

- Work closely with technical teams on solution design

- Drive stakeholder alignment across global teams (US, India)

- Perform root-cause analysis & support cross-functional initiatives

Mandatory Domain Requirements

You MUST have hands-on experience in:

Private Equity Fund Operations

- Fund accounting cycle

- Deal lifecycle

- Capital Calls, Distributions

- Waterfall, Fees, Carry

- Compliance & Performance Reporting

Private Credit / Bank Loan Operations

- Term Loans, Revolvers, Paydowns, Drawdowns

- Loan servicing, interest calculations

- Portfolio & credit asset classes

End-to-End Fund Accounting

- NAV/GAV

- Pricing

- Accruals

- Reconciliation (Cash, Position, P&L, TB)

Capital Markets Expertise

- Understanding of market instruments

- Trade lifecycle (basic)

- Exposure to investment banking domain

Data, Tech & Tools

- Strong SQL (Mandatory)

- Investran / eFront / Geneva / fund accounting tools

- MDM tools (Semarchy preferred)

- Salesforce CRM (Good to Have)

- JIRA / Rally / Azure Boards

- Data warehouse concepts

Candidate Profile

Experience: 8 to 15 years

Education: MBA Finance / CA / M.Com / CFA / MS / B.Com (Preferred)

- Strong communication & client-facing ability

- Experience working with US-based clients

- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

- Experience leading teams or large-scale initiatives
