Senior Business Analyst - Bank

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst with 4-8 years of experience in core banking or lending platforms, with a specific focus on the asset side of the balance sheet.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of domain knowledge, technical acumen, and stakeholder management skills to effectively translate business requirements into functional specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with customers, product owners, and internal teams to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements.

- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

- Contribute to the management of application backlogs, user stories, and sprint planning as a product owner or proxy product owner.

- Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement in existing lending or core banking platforms.

- Support solution development by clarifying requirements, preparing documentation, and validating end-user functionality.

- Facilitate communication across stakeholders and ensure timely updates and escalations as needed.

- Provide insights through data analysis using SQL and relational databases.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field

- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience with lending or core banking platforms, particularly on the asset (loan/lease) side

- Experience in gathering requirements or managing product backlogs as a product owner/proxy product owner

- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities

- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a passion for solving business problems through technology

- Strong technical acumen and familiarity with enterprise software

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Agile and other implementation methodologies

- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence

- Experience with leading banking or lending applications (e.g, Finacle, Flexcube, Temenos, etc.)

- Ability to clearly articulate business and technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative team spirit and ability to influence cross-functional teams
