We are looking for an exceptional Strategy & Planning Manager / Senior Manager to join our growing team in Chennai. This is a high-impact role designed for a sharp, curious, and articulate thinker who thrives at the intersection of creativity, commerce, and culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Delivery
- Own and drive end-to-end brand and communication strategy mandatesacross Brand Audits, Purpose & Positioning, Naming, Architecture, GTM strategy, and Culture building.
- Build foundational strategy tools: brand ladders, purpose pyramids, positioning matrices, message houses, and friction/journey maps.
- Craft compelling narratives rooted in sharp insight and cultural relevance that inspire creative teams and guide execution.
2. Insight Mining & Market Analysis
- Conduct and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative researchcompetitor audits, consumer immersions, stakeholder interviews, and category deep-dives.
- Decode behavioural shifts, cultural codes, and emerging market trends to identify whitespace opportunities.
- Translate complex data and ambiguous business challenges into clear, actionable strategic direction.
3. Client Engagement & Facilitation
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding senior stakeholders through strategic problem-solving, often in live or workshop formats.
- Design and lead workshops on Brand Purpose, Culture, Perception Mapping, and Customer Journeys.
- Deliver high-quality presentations and decks that balance strategic depth with storytelling and visual clarity.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, creative, content, and account teams to ensure strategic intent carries through to execution.
- Serve as the strategic conscience across projects, providing alignment, coherence, and consistency in output.
5. Team Development & IP Building
- Mentor junior strategists, interns, and cross-functional contributorsproviding structured guidance and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to building proprietary frameworks, tools, and templates that scale our strategic offerings.
Candidate Profile
Must-Haves
- 4-6 years of experience in brand strategy, advertising, consumer insights, or startup environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build brand strategy frameworks and deliver compelling client-facing narratives.
- Strong research and analytical skills - equally comfortable with qual & quant insights, cultural analysis, and stakeholder synthesis.
- Proven experience working in ambiguity, across sectors, and in direct collaboration with clients.
- Excellent communication skillswritten, visual, and verbal.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in facilitating strategic workshops and running senior stakeholder sessions.
- Familiarity with semiotics, cultural strategy, or behavioural science.
- Passion for consumer brands, design thinking, and zero-to-one brand journeys.
