Senior Associate - Statutory Audit

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage statutory audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to auditing standards and regulatory requirements to deliver high-quality assurance services.

- Review complex financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documentation, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement, to provide accurate and reliable financial reporting insights.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations, financial processes, and internal control systems, offering constructive feedback and building strong professional relationships.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient execution of audit procedures and documentation.

- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, management letters, and presentations for senior management and audit committees, effectively communicating findings, recommendations, and compliance matters.

- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, auditing pronouncements, and regulatory landscapes, applying updated knowledge to audit engagements to maintain compliance and best practices.

- Drive continuous improvement in audit methodologies and processes, contributing to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness within the audit function.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in conducting statutory audits for diverse entities, with a strong understanding of Ind AS, IFRS, and Indian GAAP.

- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and assess financial risks with precision and critical thinking.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients, presenting findings, and collaborating within a team environment.

- Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and timely completion of audit engagements while managing multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential, reflecting a robust foundation in accounting and auditing principles.

- Adaptability to a dynamic work environment in Mumbai, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.
