Key Responsibilities: -
Deal Evaluation & Execution:
- Support origination and evaluation of investment opportunities across target sectors.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, modeling, and valuation of potential investment opportunities.
- Participate in end-to-end transaction execution including due diligence, deal structuring, documentation, and closing.
- Work closely with management teams, advisors, and consultants during diligence and transaction phases.
- Prepare high-quality investment memorandum and presentations for the Investment Committee.
Financial & Commercial Diligence:
- Lead and coordinate financial due diligence (FDD) and assist in commercial due diligence (CDD) efforts with internal and external teams.
- Review and analyze financial statements, KPIs, and operating metrics.
- Assess business models, revenue drivers, and cost structures to identify key value levers and risks.
Valuations & Market Research:
- Build and maintain robust financial models for portfolio companies and target businesses.
- Perform business valuations, scenario analysis, and return modeling (IRR/MOIC).
- Conduct market research and screening of target companies using financial databases and sector reports.
Portfolio Management Support:
- Monitor portfolio performance, track key metrics, and support in value creation initiatives.
- Assist in preparation of portfolio updates, board decks, and investor presentations.
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare presentations, teasers, and deal summaries for internal and external use.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and compliance teams on deal-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal investment policies and procedures.
Job Specification: -
Education & Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.
- Additional certifications such as CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred but not essential.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in:
- Investment Banking (front-end roles)
- Private Equity / Principal Investments
- Financial or Commercial Due Diligence (preferably Big 4 - India practice)
- Hands-on experience with M&A transactions, financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
Technical Skills:
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel (advanced modeling), PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg).
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS preferred) and key valuation principles.
- Solid analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to join within 2 months (maximum notice period of 60 days).
- Preference for candidates from Big 4 (India practice), front-end Investment Banking, or Private Equity firms.
- Candidates from back-end or support roles for US/Europe markets will not be considered.
