Senior Associate - Markets Non-Financial Risk/FX

Role Overview:

A leading international banking and financial services group is seeking a Markets Non-Financial Risk specialist with deep expertise in FX business activities, products and control environments. The role will support the global FX business through risk advisory, credible challenge, governance oversight, control uplift and complex issue management. The position will work closely with Markets Risk, business, assurance and regional stakeholders to strengthen risk frameworks, reporting and control effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a subject matter expert for non-financial risk across FX products, trading activities, controls and governance.

- Provide expert advice and credible challenge on risk identification, emerging issues, control uplift and governance outcomes.

- Support complex investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities and risk events, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.

- Drive FX risk governance, oversight, issues management, attestations and aggregated risk insights in line with enterprise standards.

- Prepare high-quality risk papers, reporting and insights for senior stakeholders, clearly articulating risks, themes, actions and decisions.

- Coordinate with business, risk and assurance teams across regions to resolve significant issues and strengthen risk management practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 10 - 17 years of experience in non-financial risk, risk governance or control frameworks within a Markets environment.

- Strong subject matter expertise in FX products, trading activities and associated non-financial risk themes.

- Experience providing credible challenge and practical recommendations to senior stakeholders on complex risk matters.

- Proven exposure to investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities, issue assessments, root cause analysis or remediation.

- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management standards, regulatory expectations and governance practices.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk matters into clear decision-ready insights.
