Senior Associate - Markets Non-Financial Risk

Role Overview:

A leading global banking and financial services organisation is looking for a senior Non-Financial Risk specialist to support its global Rates - Credit business. The role will provide deep subject matter expertise across products, business activities, risk themes and control environments. The position will partner with Markets Risk, business and assurance stakeholders to strengthen governance, provide credible challenge, support risk events and drive sustainable control improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a subject matter expert for non-financial risk matters across the Rates - Credit business, providing expert advice and credible challenge.

- Drive risk governance, oversight, risk reviews, issue management, attestations and aggregated risk reporting in line with enterprise standards.

- Provide specialist input into investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities and risk events, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.

- Prepare and review risk papers, reporting and insights for senior stakeholders, clearly articulating key risks, themes, actions and decisions.

- Oversee escalations and support timely resolution of significant risk, control and governance issues.

- Identify opportunities to strengthen risk frameworks, governance processes, reporting and control effectiveness across the global business.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 10+ years of experience in non-financial risk, governance frameworks and regulatory expectations within a Markets environment.

- Strong expertise in Rates - Credit business activities, products, trading environments and associated control frameworks.

- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted subject matter expert, provide credible challenge and advise senior stakeholders.

- Experience supporting or leading investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities, issue assessments, root cause analysis and remediation.

- Experience working with global Markets businesses and stakeholders across regions.

- Strong written and verbal communication, planning and prioritisation skills; Bengaluru location commitment required.
