Job Description - Sr. Associate / Manager - Direct Tax Litigation

Position: Sr. Associate / Manager

Department: Direct Taxation - Litigation

Location: Mumbai- Manager, Bangalore- Sr. Associate

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA with LLB

Experience: 2-6 years for Sr. Associate, 6-10 years for Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle litigation and dispute resolution matters related to Direct Taxation before various tax authorities and appellate forums.

- Draft and review submissions, appeals, replies, and other documentation pertaining to Direct Tax disputes.

- Provide strategic advice and representation in Direct Tax assessments, appeals, and tribunal matters.

- Liaise with clients, counsels, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of tax disputes.

- Stay updated on amendments, judicial precedents, and evolving tax laws impacting clients.

- Support clients with risk management strategies and advise on litigation exposure.

- Manage client relationships with high professional standards and deliver quality outcomes.

Key Requirements:

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA with LLB (mandatory).

- Strong knowledge of Direct Tax laws, procedures, and litigation process.

- Prior exposure to working with reputed law firms / consulting firms in Direct Tax litigation is preferred.

- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively.
