Senior Associate - Investment Banking

Role Overview:

The investment banking Senior Associate is a key member of the investment banking team responsible for creating pitch documents, sourcing transactions, creating transaction documents and financial projections, speaking with potential investors and buyers, negotiating term sheets and closing transactions. The job also involves doing industry, sector and company research to help identify potential transactions.

Senior Associates are not assigned to specific sectoral teams and will be expected to work on transaction teams across sectors. S/he will also have to help senior management with general business development activities of the company.

Documentation Development:

- Create financial models using Excel and other financial tools

- Carry out financial analysis, conduct comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and trading multiples

- Prepare IMs and other relevant documents

- Build knowledge and data required for current and foreseeable transactions

Transaction Execution:

- Help in originating and closing deals

- Research and scan market for transaction opportunities

- Financial analysis and modeling

- Follow developments in the M&A/PE space to maintain an understanding of current and anticipated trends across relevant sectors/industry verticals

Client Relationship Management:

- Scout and maintain relationships with potential clients

- Clearly communicate and keep clients updated on progress

- Meet clients regularly and understand changes/trends in business

- Maintain client relationship after deal closure

- Interact with third party entities during transaction process
