Description: Advising clients in raising private equity and structured credit and in M&A deals covering the entire spectrum of the energy transition including renewable energy, BESS, solar photovoltaic manufacturing, electric vehicle ecosystem and battery and cell manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Front end investment banking role focusing on energy transition sectors involving end-to-end deal activities starting from origination to closure for transactions involving equity, M&A and structured credit.
- Candidates would be part of the interactions with various stakeholders such as clients, investors, lenders, legal firms, consultants, etc.
- Identify trends and potential opportunities to establish an active business pipeline.
- In depth industry analyses by understanding key drivers and business models to arrive at a potential universe of clients.
- Prepare teasers, pitch books, information memorandums, management presentations and financial models.
- Articulating deal USPs through power point presentations.
- Engaging with PE/VC funds, strategic investors, private credit funds/AIFs and special situations funds for closing deals.
- Facilitate comprehensive due-diligence.
- Supporting execution of definitive agreements and deal closure.
- Guiding and training analysts and associates
Key Skills:
- Candidates with at least three years of experience in any of the following: fund raising, project finance, corporate finance, investment advisory or financial advisory preferably in any of the sectors under energy transition
- Should have worked for at least two years in investment banking role with exposure of advising clients in private equity and M&A deals
- Education: MBA (Tier-1 or Tier-2 B-Schools) with a focus in finance or CA or CFA
- Expertise in financial modelling and financial statement analysis
