Senior/Assistant Manager-Corporate and International tax (CIT)
Your Key Responsibilities
- Internal and external stakeholder management (example-solving for ambiguous situations between CST and Analysts, conflict, and escalation management)
- Awareness of Tax SBUs service offerings and collaboration with respective service lines
- Ensure team is updated on information about changes in tax rules,schemes and policy
- Personal ownership (responsibility and accountability) for the work and performance of team
- Number of presentations made, communication sent on changes in SBU specific tax rules, schemes and policy with 100% team attendance
Quality Service delivery
- Delivering high quality work to CST in light of changing regulatory environment
- Continuous learning and sharpening of technical and other skills / knowledge acquired through training and on the job work experience
Governance and MIS
- Maintaining and reviewing of all operational and people metrics with PLs/Management regularly
- Adhere to operational excellence norms on tickets
- Time booking under appropriate client charge codes by team
Productivity Improvement
- Maintaing optimal SLA and improving it regularly
- Innovation- Suggest and implement new ideas to make existing work efficent
- Tickets closed by team and their feedback on Quality and timeliness
- Review of tickets at every touch point to ensure quality before submission to CST
- Effective representation of data related to teams tickets, training completed
- Ensure effective utilization of self and junior team members
- Drives Collaboration and Inclusion among the team members
Team retention and motivation
- Ensure compliance with all office operating procedures-timesheets, dress code, leaves, office time, goal setting, interim and year end reviews
- Initiatives beyond work
- Efficiently delegate work and allocate resources on projects
- Ensure open communication channels with staff and help to implement change management interventions where necessary
- Continually strive to understand the economic environment and bring team upto speed(example:latest tax reforms,tax laws, IT Acts and other statutory changes which may affect the clients)in areas which the business operates and provide excellent client service
- Ensure Team Fungibility leading to better utilization across SBUs
- Knowhow of best practice and techniques to provide sound advice, support and train team
- Identify key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions and update team
- Lay down standard operating procedures and monitor teams adherence with the SOPs along with the team
- Closely review allocation of tickets with PL to increase chargeable hours of the team
Public Trust
- Awareness about internal & external regulatory / independence requirements and strict compliance to the same.
