JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR ARCHITECT

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:

Position Title: Senior Architect

Location: Mumbai

Function: Operations

Team Size: 4 TO 5

JOB BRIEF:

We are looking for a Qualified Architect with 10 to 16 yrs. of experience in Commercial and mixed use projects. The role involves performing all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing construction documentation. You will coordinate with Consultants, clients, site teams and PMC, and be involved in new building designs, extensions and alterations from the earliest stages through to completion. You will also mentor and lead a team of Architects and Technicians to achieve design deliverables.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Design Development and management:

- Take the brief to identify clients needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals

- Develop ideas keeping in mind clients needs, buildings usage and environmental impact in line with Architectural trends

- Coordinate with the 3D team for building aesthetics

- Select materials as per client requirements and prepare material boards for presentation

2. Drawing Management:

- Control drawing deliverables from start to finish to ensure high quality schematic and working drawings

- Ensure all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations

- Lead a team of 4 to 5 Architects/Technicians to achieve deliverables on time

3. Consultant and Vendor coordination:

- Coordinate with structural and service consultants for design development and execution

- Coordinate with various vendors for material selection

4. Client and Site coordination:

- Coordinate with project managers to achieve design deliverables in line with site requirements

- Make periodic site visits to check project status and report on progress

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

1. Qualification:

- 5 yrs. Bachelor degree in Architecture (B. Arch OR Equivalent)

- PG or Master degree in construction or project Management

- For Designer role Masters in Urban Design / Landscape / Architecture / Design would be desirable

2. Skills:

- Fluency in AutoCAD, Google Sketch up, MS Office, Revit, Photoshop

3. Experience:

- 10 to 16 yrs. of experience with an Architectural consultancy firm, with at least 6 yrs. in mixed use or commercial projects

- Should have completed at least one project of min 3,00,000 sft from start to end

- Work experience in Commercial Buildings, Shopping centres, Hospitality or Health care projects

4. Behaviour:

- Good visualization power, coordination, and communication skills

- Ability to work under strict deadlines and as a team player

5. Personal Circumstances:

- Should be able to travel outstation for project site visits

- Ready to work stretched hours to meet desired timelines
