Position: Senior Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to lead architectural design and project delivery across the complete project lifecycle, from concept development through construction.

The role requires a strong combination of design leadership, technical expertise, statutory knowledge, client management and multidisciplinary coordination. The candidate will be responsible for translating client requirements into functional, compliant and buildable architectural solutions while ensuring design intent, quality and timelines are maintained throughout the project.

The ideal candidate should have independently handled medium to large-scale projects and should be comfortable managing consultants, clients, project teams and construction-stage architectural requirements.

Preferred candidates with experience in Data centre or Pharmaceutical design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership:

- Lead architectural design across all stages including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documentation.

- Translate client briefs and project requirements into functional, aesthetically appropriate and buildable design solutions.

- Maintain architectural design intent throughout all stages of the project.

- Review and approve architectural drawings, technical details and material specifications.

- Ensure drawings and documentation meet required quality and design standards.

- Provide technical and design direction to internal architectural teams.

Technical & Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable local development regulations and statutory requirements.

- Maintain strong working knowledge of National Building Code (NBC), Fire and Life Safety Norms, Accessibility Standards, Local Development Control Regulations, and Applicable Building Codes and Standards.

- Prepare and review drawings required for Planning Permission, Building Permits and Statutory Approvals.

- Coordinate documentation for submission to relevant authorities.

- Respond to authority observations and comments.

- Support timely closure of statutory approval requirements.

Project & Consultant Coordination:

- Coordinate architectural requirements with Structural, MEP, Facade, and Landscape Consultants, Interior Designers, and Specialist Consultants.

- Conduct interdisciplinary design and coordination reviews.

- Identify and resolve architectural, structural and services coordination conflicts.

- Ensure consistency across architectural, structural and MEP drawings.

- Coordinate design changes and ensure updates are incorporated across all related documentation.

Client Management:

- Act as the primary architectural point of contact for assigned projects.

- Participate in and lead client meetings, presentations and design reviews.

- Understand client requirements and provide appropriate architectural solutions.

- Manage client feedback and design changes efficiently.

- Communicate design implications, timelines and technical considerations clearly to stakeholders.

- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Tendering & Documentation:

- Support preparation and review of Tender Drawings, Technical Specifications, Architectural Details, BOQs, and Tender Documentation.

- Provide technical clarifications during the tendering process.

- Respond to bidder queries related to architectural scope.

- Participate in technical evaluation of proposals where required.

- Ensure tender documentation accurately reflects approved design requirements.

Construction Support:

- Provide architectural support throughout project execution and construction.

- Conduct site visits to review construction progress and architectural compliance.

- Review and approve Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, Samples, Mock-Ups, and Architectural Details.

- Issue architectural clarifications, revisions and instructions as required.

- Coordinate with site teams and consultants to resolve execution-related issues.

- Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and architectural design intent.

Team Leadership:

- Guide and mentor junior architects, architectural assistants and draftsmen.

- Allocate project responsibilities and monitor team deliverables.

- Review drawings and documentation prepared by team members.

- Ensure project outputs meet agreed schedules and quality requirements.

- Maintain architectural drafting, documentation and presentation standards.

- Improve internal workflows and promote consistency in design documentation.

- Support capability development within the architectural team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.

- Registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) is mandatory.

Experience Requirements:

- Minimum 8 - 12+ years of professional architectural experience.

- Strong experience in independently handling architectural projects.

- Exposure to medium to large-scale developments is preferred.

- Experience managing projects from concept through construction will be highly preferred.

- Strong client-facing and consultant coordination experience is required.

Technical Skills:

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.

- Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is preferred.

- Strong understanding of architectural design development and construction documentation.

- Good knowledge of building materials, construction methods and detailing.

- Ability to read, review and coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP Drawings and Consultant Documentation.

- Good understanding of statutory approval documentation and building regulations.
