Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst - Risk - Financial Research

Role Overview:

As a Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst - Risk - Financial Research, you will be at the forefront of identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks within our research operations. Your day-to-day will involve deep dives into financial data, developing sophisticated risk models, and collaborating with research teams to ensure compliance and stability. You will work closely with senior management, research analysts, and compliance officers, providing critical insights that directly impact investment decisions and overall business strategy. Your expertise will safeguard our assets, enhance our reputation, and contribute to the long-term success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement risk management frameworks and policies to minimize financial exposure across various research activities.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, economic indicators, and company financials to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities for senior management.

- Build and maintain sophisticated risk models using statistical techniques and financial engineering principles to quantify and forecast potential losses for the research team.

- Monitor and report on key risk metrics, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making for compliance officers.

- Collaborate with research analysts to integrate risk considerations into investment strategies and portfolio construction to ensure alignment with risk appetite for the business.

- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the resilience of portfolios under adverse market conditions to provide insights to senior management.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk management to maintain the integrity of the organization for the compliance team.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and identify potential risks and opportunities.

- Proven expertise in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and models.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.

- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS) is highly desirable.

- Adaptability to work in an on-site environment in Bangalore.
