Senior Analyst/Principal - Offshore India Fund

Role:

- 10-20 years of buyside/sell side experience in listed Indian equities out of which with minimum 5 years should be on the buy side - mutual Fund/FPI/PMS/Family office.

- The firm shares carry (performance fee) with senior analysts and looking to hire senior analysts who can eventually graduate into role of partners. People with relevant experience may be directly hired as Principal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Part of senior team in evaluation of investment opportunities in Indian stock market.

- Involved in the end to end process from ideation to recommending exit including tracking companies in multiple sectors.

- The person should have either in-depth understanding of minimum 2 sectors or be a general bottom-up stock picker across sectors.

- Should be a stock picker with passion for making alpha and winning and have an absolute return orientation.

Fund/Firm Profile:

Bowhead Investment Advisors is the Investment Advisor to Bowhead India Fund which is a long only offshore fund investing in a concentrated portfolio of 15-20 companies with medium term to long-term view (2 years to 5 years). The Fund is domiciled in Mauritius and manages money largely for offshore institutional investors. It has 4 US Endowments and Foundations as its clients amongst others. The Fund has one of the better track records amongst all Indian onshore/offshore funds with 41% annualized gross returns in INR since its inception in Dec 2019.

Firm AUM is around USD 300 Million. The Fund is market cap and sector agnostic and invests across the market cap curve. The fund is seeing significant interest from offshore institutional investors and based on the same expects ramp up in the AUM in the next 6-18 months. The Founder of the firm, Sonaal Kohli was earlier heading India office of Indea Capital, an offshore India dedicated Fund which was amongst the 3 biggest hedge funds in India.
