Position Overview :
The company is seeking a sharp, highly analytical Intercompany (IC) Accountant for a high-profile corporate spin-off project. This resource will manage critical intercompany reconciliations, resolve historical variances, and support the finance team through an Oracle ERP system implementation. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in intercompany accounting processes, strong technical proficiency in Oracle, and exceptional communication skills to collaborate across global teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Reconciliation & Reporting : Create comprehensive summaries for intercompany balances across legacy and spin-off entities.
- Variance Identification : Pinpoint Out-of-Balance (OOB) accounts, past-due amounts, and aged transactional items.
- Issue Resolution : Coordinate actively with global accounting teams to clear OOB variances and resolve aged past dues.
- ERP Implementation Support : Partner with the core Eaton project team during data migration and Oracle implementation phases.
- System Testing : Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) for intercompany transaction flows to ensure a seamless system transition.
Required Qualifications :
- Experience : Proven track record in corporate accounting with a heavy focus on complex intercompany processes.
- Systems : Solid hands-on working knowledge of Oracle ERP (Cloud or R12 preferred).
- Skills : Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills to trace and resolve complex accounting variances.
- Communication : Fluent, articulate communication skills to effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Attributes : Highly adaptable, fast learner, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced spin-off environment.
Role :
- Leading ledger-to-subledger reconciliations, ensuring precision, compliance, and zero discrepancies across financial records.
- Driving process documentation and championing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and operational scalability.
- Executing GR/IR reconciliations, resolving MRBR issues, and partnering with Treasury to optimise payment schedules and cash flow management.
- Acting as the key escalation point for financial queries, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to corporate policies and internal controls.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align reconciliation processes with business objectives and global standards.
