Senior Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Description:

Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst - FP&A

Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing inventory analysis, and building budgets and monthly forecasts to support key business decisions for multiple entities. The ideal candidate should have high proficiency in MS Excel and Power Query and be able to quickly pivot to dynamic challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Data Consolidation, Analysis, and Reporting:

- Gather and consolidate data from ERP and other sources

- Build and execute Power BI / Power Query models, weekly KPI dashboards, etc

- Prepare financial reports, analyse and communicate business performance with key stakeholders

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts

- Provide support in analyzing budget variances and trends to help make business decisions

Process Improvement:

- Support creation of financial analysis and reporting models to evaluate business scenarios, new initiatives, and investment opportunities

- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and provide recommendations to enhance business processes and performance

Ad-hoc Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills:

- The ideal candidate is a self-starter, team player that leads by example, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-growing environment

- Must be proficient in MS Excel and Power BI / Power Query

- 3-5 yrs of experience in FP&A or related finance roles

- Post-secondary education - MBA / CFA / CMA preferred, not required

- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills

- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial reports of multiple entities
