Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in SQL and a strong background in Business Intelligence. You will be responsible for creating and supporting our BI solutions, acting as a Subject Matter Expert in client engagements, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation. This role requires advanced proficiency in data visualization and a deep understanding of data management concepts to translate complex data into actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Reporting:

- Serve as the reporting Subject Matter Expert (SME) in client engagements, delivering comprehensive BI solutions.

- Collaborate with database administrators and developers to ensure accurate collection and analysis of reporting requirements, including new data needs and user specifications.

- Design and develop complex visualizations and dashboards for effective storytelling using tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Data Management & Development:

- Possess a high-level understanding of database and data management principles.

- Develop custom tables, views, and data models across various databases, including SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or Redshift.

- Define best practices for the design and development of data layers for reporting purposes.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

- Directly interface with clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams to drive BI requirements.

- Communicate at a very high level, both verbally and in writing, to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on reporting solutions.

Required Skills

Core Experience:

- 3-5 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence.

- Strong expertise in SQL with a proven background in BI.

Technical Proficiency:

- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Alteryx experience is also a plus.

- Experience with developing custom data models across modern databases.

Communication & Collaboration:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management.

Preferred Skills

- Proven understanding or experience working with performance data, specifically from media-related datasets.

- Prior professional background in the media industry is highly desirable.
