Job Title: Senior Accounts Manager
Experience: 5-6 Years (including 2+ years in similar responsibilities)
Core Job Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle book-keeping/accounting activities, including finalization, reconciliations, and reporting of General Ledger transactions.
- Coach, train, and mentor colleagues to enhance team productivity and performance.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients to understand and support their accounting needs.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with SLA and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the creation and regular updates of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Conduct periodic service review calls (weekly, monthly, quarterly) with clients adhering to defined business standards.
- Promptly report and investigate service failures, implementing corrective actions.
- Respond quickly and effectively to client escalations, resolving issues and preventing recurrence.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
- Support client transitions by assisting with the adoption of new processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing as per contract terms to prevent revenue leakage.
- Assist in collections and receivables management.
- Provide support in pre-sales and sales activities to drive business growth.
- Champion process improvements and ensure optimal use of accounting systems to meet margin and productivity goals.
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities, particularly for complex accounting tasks.
- Report and resolve any compliance issues related to accounting operations.
- Effectively implement process changes while minimizing client impact and ensuring team readiness.
- Offer suggestions to improve services, systems, and operational efficiencies.
- Manage day-to-day communication with internal teams, clients, auditors, and external stakeholders through emails, calls, and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent; CA/CMA/CWA/M.Com/MBA preferred.
- 5-6 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years handling the responsibilities listed above.
- Proven experience in end-to-end accounting processes, including month-end finalization, preparation of P&L, and Balance Sheets.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions and tools.
- Experience working with international clients is highly desirable.
- Proficient with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Experience working in BPO/KPO/ITES or accounting functions within subsidiaries of foreign companies is a plus.
