Senior Accounting Manager - CA (10-15 yrs)
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance & Accounting professional to lead financial accounting, reporting, UK statutory compliance, HMRC-related activities, audit management, and controllership in a global business environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving governance and compliance, supporting business stakeholders, and contributing to finance transformation initiatives while ensuring adherence to UK accounting standards, HMRC regulations, IFRS, and group accounting policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Manage financial accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reviews.
- Drive financial reporting, consolidation, and management reporting in accordance with IFRS and UK statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations and HMRC requirements, including VAT returns, Corporation Tax support, CIS (where applicable), and other statutory filings in coordination with tax advisors.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS, as applicable.
- Lead accounting for complex financial instruments, including hedge accounting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on IND AS, IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102), and treasury-related transactions.
- Perform detailed P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of ageing/open items.
- Lead statutory audits, group audits, and coordinate with external auditors and UK compliance stakeholders.
- Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support treasury operations, cash flow reporting, working capital monitoring, and liquidity management.
- Collaborate with UK, regional, and global stakeholders to meet reporting and operational requirements.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed global environment.
Mandatory Requirements:- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical expertise in IND AS, IFRS, and working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102).
- Hands-on experience with IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition), IFRS 16 (Leases), IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments), IAS 2 (Inventories), and Hedge Accounting.
- Experience in UK accounting, HMRC compliance, VAT, statutory reporting, and UK financial regulations.
- Strong experience in financial accounting, controllership, reporting, and audit management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and enterprise reporting systems.
- Experience working in a global or shared services environment supporting UK entities.
