Currently there is an opening with a leading Chemical company based in Gujarat.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

- Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures.

- Controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.

- Recruiting, training and supervising security officers and guards.

- Operational support for business growth.

- Responsible for leading and managing overall security strategy and operations, encompassing both physical and digital security measures. Responsible to oversee all security operations of Jhagadia site & satellite sites.

DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC/ POLICY

- Developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.

- To Integrate Security function with other business functions.

OPERATIONAL

Risk Management:


- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks, including physical security threats, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and other potential hazards.


Incident Response:

- Establishing and leading the organization's response to security incidents, breaches, and emergencies, including investigation, containment, and recovery.

Security Operations:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the security function, including access control, surveillance, emergency management, and physical security measures.

Compliance:

- Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant security regulations, standards, and legal requirements.

Team Management:

- Leading, training, and supervising a team of security professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their effectiveness.

Budget Management:

- Managing the security department's budget, allocating resources effectively, and optimizing spending.

Collaboration:

- Working closely with other departments, such as IT, HR, and legal, to integrate security measures into the organization's overall operations and ensure a coordinated approach.

Communication:

- Effectively communicating security risks, policies, and procedures to stakeholders, including employees, management, and the board of directors.

Continuous Improvement:

- Staying abreast of the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices, and making recommendations for enhancements to the security program.

FINANCIAL

- Minimise Security expenses by innovative ways of working

- Develop strategy to use equipments/technology to increase efficiency

- To develop alternate options to minimise expenses.

PEOPLE

- To develop collaboration & team work among employees and people around

- To identify & develop potentials employees for future roles

- To visualise and understand people concerns and support people to overcome.

KEY INTERACTIONS

Internal

External

- Interacts with other departments strategies and policies.

- Takes views of other departments on forming Security policy in consultation with Head HR

- Liason and develop cordial relations with Local Police and other local government officials

- Liaison with Sarpanch and other local people of repute

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

- (Special technical skills & knowledge needed for the satisfactory performance of the job)

- Defence Graduate with 20+ years experience in security operations in medium to large manufacturing industries. MBA will be an added advantage.

- Should have worked with defence forces at Colonel or above levels

Strong Leadership and Management Skills:

- The ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure.

In-depth Knowledge of Security Principles and Practices:

- A comprehensive understanding of physical security, cybersecurity, risk management, and incident response.

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

- The ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

- The ability to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.

Experience with Security Technologies:

- Familiarity with access control systems, surveillance equipment, security software, and other relevant technologies.

Knowledge of Relevant Regulations and Standards:

- Understanding of security-related laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

- Knowledge of SAP operating system.
