Section Head - Procurement - Materials - Mining/Steel

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Materials - Section Head - Procurement to join our team at an Integrated Steel Plant in Nagpur, MH. This role is critical for managing the procurement of various raw materials and MRO items essential for steel manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee procurement of raw materials for DRI, MBF, Steel Melting Shop, and HSM/CRM, including Iron Ore, Coal, Coking Coal, Bauxite, Quartzite, Magnesite, Calcined Lime, and Dolo.

- Manage the procurement of Ferro Alloys such as Silico Manganese HC/MC, Ferro Silicon, Ferro Manganese, and other Pure Alloys metals.

- Responsible for sourcing Nickel Based Scrap Materials, including SS304/SS316, Inconel Alloys 625 and 718.

- Manage the sourcing of Heavy Melting Scrap for Steel Making through the Scrap Route.

- Procure Pure Alloys: Pure Nickle, Moly, SiCW, FeTiCW, FeNb, Al Ingots, Al Wire Pure Copper, etc.

- Source Pure/Virgin metals including Pure Iron Billets, Chromium Metal, Vanadium, Cobalt, and Niobium for making Super Alloys.

- Source materials like Fluxes (Calcined Lime and Dolo) and Minerals (Bauxite, Quartzite, Magnesite).

- Responsible for the procurement of MRO Items (Engineering Spares, Stock Items, Consumables Items).

- Manage the sourcing of Refractory Items, Total Refractory Management Contracts, Graphite Electrodes, Copper Mould Tubes, CI Moulds, and Mill Rolls.

Required Qualifications:

- Education: BE Mechanical or any Engineering Degree with MBA / PG Diploma in Materials Management.

- Experience: Minimum 15 - 25 years of experience in a continuous STEEL Industry, Alloys, Special Steels Manufacturing, Continuous Process, Mining, or Metal Industry background.

- Procurement Exposure: Demonstrated experience in procuring Iron ore, Coke, Coal, Ferro Alloys, Fluxes, Refractories, etc.

Skills:

- eProcurement Systems: ARIBA, SAP HANA.

- Software: MS Excel (Advance).

- Core Skills: Analytical Skills, Communications Skills.

- Leadership: Team Management (ability to manage a team of 10 - 12 people).
