SEBI Compliance Officer

Job Title: Principal Officer - GIFT City (Ahmedabad)

We are hiring a Principal Officer to lead regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational governance under IFSCA for our GIFT City operations. The role acts as the Nodal Officer for regulatory interactions and ensures adherence to frameworks governing AIFs, PMS, and cross-border investment services.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Lead compliance under IFSCA regulations

- Ensure end-to-end compliance with SEBI, RBI & PMLA/AML/KYC obligations

- Handle regulatory filings, disclosures & transaction monitoring

Risk & Governance:

- Build and implement credit/operational/compliance risk frameworks

- Support internal/external audits & maintain governance policies

Operational Oversight:

- Oversee day-to-day GIFT City unit operations (client onboarding, fund flows, transaction controls)

- Support tech-driven compliance systems & reporting processes

Business & Strategic Support:

- Support regulatory approvals for licensing, fund structuring & new financial products (AIF/PMS/IFSC units)

- Liaise with regulators and legal teams for expansion initiatives

Qualifications:

- CA / MBA / CS / LLB or equivalent professional degree

- 5-7 years of financial services experience, including 3-5 years in compliance or regulatory roles

- Preferably experienced with GIFT City + AIF/PMS + offshore investment structures

- AML/Compliance certifications (NISM/IFSCA preferred)

Required Skills:

- Strong understanding of IFSCA, SEBI & FEMA regulations

- High integrity, strong analytical & communication skills

- Ability to work independently with senior regulators and leadership
