Job Opportunity: Principal Officer GIFT City (Ahmedabad)

We are hiring for a Principal Officer to lead regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational governance for a financial services setup based in GIFT City, Ahmedabad.

Role Overview:

The Principal Officer will act as the Nodal Officer for regulatory bodies, ensuring full compliance with IFSCA, SEBI, RBI and other governing frameworks. The role demands strong oversight of AML/KYC, risk controls, and operational activities for investment services including AIF and PMS.

Key Responsibilities:

- Regulatory & Compliance Leadership

- Governance of AML/KYC & PMLA procedures

- Coordination with regulators and SEZ authorities

- Risk framework development & internal/external audit support

- Overseeing daily operations of the GIFT City unit (onboarding, fund flows, reporting)

- Support for licensing, product structuring & strategic initiatives

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Education: CA / MBA / CS / LLB or similar

Experience: 5-7 years in financial services, with 3-5 years in compliance or regulatory roles

Exposure to: GIFT City, AIF/PMS regulations, cross-border structures

Certifications: NISM/AML/CFT preferred

Strong understanding of IFSCA / SEBI / FEMA regulations

Skills Required:

- Regulatory expertise and high attention to detail

- Risk management & operational control

- Excellent communication for interaction with regulators & top management

- Ability to work independently with high ownership
