DGM - Corporate Communications

Member of Schneider Electric India Marketing Team, the DGM Corporate Communications will be part of the Corporate Communications Team and responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of External communication activities for Schneider Electric in India. The role will directly report to Chief Marketing Officer, Greater India, Schneider Electric

Role and Responsibilities

- Dynamic and proactive communications professional who is adept in understanding the Business Goals + Strategic Priorities of the organization to create a compelling communication narrative to position the organization externally with Media Journalists, Media Houses, Policy Makers, External Media Agencies and internally with employees and stakeholders

- End to End responsibility for External Communications covering defined Functions and Businesses

- Develop a Compelling Communication Narrative & External Communications Calendar for Schneider Electric India (Company Wide), Functions (Example : Marketing, HR, Finance & more) and Strategic Business Units

- Supports in Internal Communications mandate by planning and executing impactful internal communication campaigns targeted at 38000+ employees of Schneider Electric in India. This includes leveraging all internal communication channels like Emailers, Yammer, Videos and other platforms

- Accelerate Schneider Electric positioning as Energy Technology Partner with strong focus on Technology, Innovation, Sustainability, Digitization, Electrification and Automation

- Manage Strategic External Communication Projects for Top Management Executives incl. CEO

- Grow Brand Share of Voice with all Top C Level and Tier 1 Media Houses like (TOI, HT, India Today, Network 18 + CNBC, NDTV and many more)

- Excellent Strategic Content Creation and Execution skills by working closely with India Zone President / CEO and Chief Marketing Officer

- Be responsible for driving overall results from the communication activities - Grow Brand Share of Voice, Increased Brand Presence in C Level and Tier 1 Media, Plan & Execute Strategic Events for CEO, CMO and Other Leadership Team Members

- Ability to liaison with Industry bodies like CII, FICCI, IFFCI, TERI, ASSOCHAM & others

Skills And Attributes for Success

- Extensive experience in managing both External (80%) and Internal Communications (20%) profile with Tier 1 Companies

- Minimum ~ 8 + experience working with Top MNCs or Indian companies leading the Public Relations/Corporate Communications function.

- B2B experience is strongly preferred from Industries like Industrials, Energy Management, Automation, Healthcare, HVAC, Automobiles, Consulting, Oil and Gas and Other Industrial Sectors

- Strong people management and leadership experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams

- Strong experience of working in a matrix organization across various time zones

- Proven track record of Media Management working with Top Public Relation Agencies, Media Houses, Journalists and Policy makers.

- Excellent Strategic Content development and execution skills. Journalism experience if any is preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

- Proven capability to support the business ambitions with high-quality, relevant, audience-centric integrated communication campaigns.

- Excellent project management, problem-solving and delegation abilities, ability to manage complex global processes and programs

- Exceptional attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills and ability to strategize & execute within tight timelines.

- A self-motivated team-player with an open 'can-do' attitude with high levels of energy

- Good Knowledge of Marketing Automation tools - Adobe Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Tableau etc.

- Strong Competency in Microsoft applications including Powerpoint, Word, Excel etc.
