Role Summary:

SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd., established in 2000 and recognized as one of India's most trusted life insurance providers, is seeking a high-performing Deputy Manager for our Kolkata operations. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by managing a dedicated team of sales professionals and maintaining strategic distributor relationships. You will act as a key driver of operational efficiency, ensuring that all activities align with SBI Lifes ethical service standards and customer-centric approach. This role demands a proactive professional who can implement robust sales strategies, monitor team performance against ambitious targets, and ensure strict compliance with organizational policies to serve the millions of families who trust SBI Life for their protection and savings needs.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Business Leadership: Develop and implement localized strategies to drive sales across SBI Lifes product portfolio, including Protection, Pension, Savings, and Health solutions.

- Team Management & Development: Manage and lead sales teams to achieve assigned business targets while fostering a high-performance culture.

- Distributor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and corporate partners to ensure a wide and effective reach for insurance products.

- Performance Monitoring: Regularly track and monitor team performance metrics, providing coaching and feedback to bridge performance gaps.

- Compliance & Policy Adherence: Ensure all team operations and sales activities comply with SBI Lifes internal policies and regulatory standards.

- Operational Efficiency Support: Contribute to the overall operational efficiency of the Kolkata branch by streamlining workflows and supporting customer-centric objectives.

- Resource Planning: Assist in technical resource planning and the allocation of manpower to meet short-term and long-term business goals.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align sales initiatives with the companys broader operational and digital innovation goals.

- Market Intelligence: Monitor local market trends in the insurance sector to identify new opportunities for business expansion within the Kolkata region.

- Customer Service Excellence: Support hassle-free service delivery to policyholders, ensuring that the team maintains the high ethical standards of the organization.

Technical Requirements:

- Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience within the insurance or financial services industry.

- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of life insurance products, including their technical structures, tax benefits, and risk coverage.

- Educational Foundation: Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

- Sales Strategy Implementation: Proven ability to translate organizational goals into actionable sales plans that deliver consistent results.

- Compliance Proficiency: Strong understanding of the regulatory framework governing the life insurance industry in India.
