Key Responsibilities:
1. Distribution Excellence & Channel Expansion
- Identify the potential prospects as per the organizational guidelines & criterias to appoint them as a channel partner in the required potential territories and areas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new key internal and external stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, mechanics, and cross-functional teams through targeted schemes and loyalty programs, to drive alignment and execution of strategic initiatives to fulfill targeted business plan.
- Drive and implement best-in-class distribution models and processes, focusing on expanding reach through independent workshops, retail transformation, distribution expansion, rural market penetration, and enhanced brand visibility.
- Identify and address opportunities & gaps in the distribution network and the overall business to ensure optimal market coverage and customer accessibility.
- Initiate and monitor retail marketing campaigns, new product introductions, and trade activation programs.
2. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
- Lead and execute the strategic agenda in collaboration with the marketing team for retail channels in alignment with the overall business strategy, ensuring all initiatives support long-term growth and market expansion.
- Deliver on business objectives including profitable volume growth (targeting a CAGR of 25%), margin improvement, cost control, net margin enhancement, and increased market share.
- Continuously benchmark processes against industry standards and introduce innovative practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Identify and explore new market segments and opportunities within the retail lubricants space within the assigned area/region.
3. Team Leadership & Capability Development:
- Inspire, energize, and motivate the sales team and broader sales network to achieve business goals and maintain high morale.
- Foster a culture of passion, customer-centricity, and accountability within the team, ensuring customer needs are at the forefront of all activities.
- Lead the capability agenda by providing "on-the-job" training, coaching, and development for field staff, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and high performance.
4. Performance Management & Execution:
- Set clear performance expectations and regularly review team and channel partner performance, providing guidance and corrective action as needed to achieve targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity using CRM systems to inform decision-making and adapt strategies for sustained growth.
- Prepare and present periodic business reports, sales dashboards, and strategic inputs, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities to the senior leadership.
- Address customer queries and resolve complaints to ensure high service standards.
5. Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
6. Inventory Management & Coordination (Area Focus):
- Monitor inventory turnover and take necessary actions to optimize inventory management within the area.
- Coordinate with internal departments (supply chain, finance, marketing, etc.) for seamless operations.
- Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, inventory planning, credit management, and timely order fulfilment to minimize revenue leakage.
