
- This role is responsible for managing compliance-related activities, monitoring HR practices, conducting audits, and advising leadership on relevant HR laws and regulations to minimize legal risk.
- Years of Experience required: 7 to 12 years.
Key Responsibilities:.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws (e., Shops & Establishment / ID Act, etc.) filing returns with authorities.
- Policy Development & Awareness: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and organizational needs.
- Create awareness on compliance issues, including harassment prevention, workplace safety, anti-discrimination policies, and confidentiality protocols.
- Auditing and Monitoring: Perform regular audits of HR practices, processes, and records to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Investigate potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance-related activities and provide regular reports to HR leadership and other stakeholders.
- Employee Relations: Advise managers and employees on HR compliance matters, addressing issues related to workplace policies, disputes, and employee rights.
- Handle employee legal /disciplinary /compliance issues.
- Advise for legal angle for employee issues.
- Assist in employee communications especially in disciplinary cases and issues in a legally correct language.
- Come up with templates basis case scenarios.
- Keep case history with data, proof and documentation of each employee case and support / assist legal team in HR related cases with data and other support needed.
- Internal and External Audits: Participate in audits and inspections conducted by external regulators or internal teams, ensuring smooth processes and timely responses.
- Risk Management: Assist in identifying potential compliance risks in HR processes, developing strategies to mitigate those risks, and implementing solutions.
- Legal Updates: Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to HR leadership and staff.
