Description:


We are looking for a technically strong and delivery-focused professional to lead our Accounting, Finance & Tax (AFT) Division.


Our clients include Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Tier-1/Tier-2 manufacturing companies in global supply chains located in India.


ONLY CHENNAI BASED / CANDIDATES WHO CAN RELOCATE TO CHENNAI NEED TO APPLY


The role combines two key responsibilities:


Technical Head - Providing technical guidance in GST, Direct Tax, Ind-AS/IFRS, and accounting.


Head of Delivery - Managing day-to-day client delivery, quality, and team coordination.


Key Responsibilities:


A) Technical Responsibilities:


- Provide expert guidance on GST, Income Tax, Ind-AS, IFRS, and Indian GAAP.

- Review financial statements, tax workings, GST reconciliations, and compliance reports.

- Help teams solve technical queries and complex client issues.

- Keep the team updated on regulatory changes.

B) Delivery Responsibilities:


- Oversee daily delivery of accounting, tax, and compliance work.

- Ensure accuracy, timely submissions, and high-quality deliverables.

- Allocate work, manage workloads, and resolve operational challenges.

- Review deliverables before submission to clients.

C) Department Queries & Liaisoning:


- Handle notices, queries, and communications with GST and Income Tax departments.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, client auditors, and internal teams.

- Prepare and review responses to department queries.

D) Training & Team Development:


- Conduct internal training on GST, tax, and accounting standards using internal and external resources

- Guide team members to strengthen technical and delivery capabilities.


E) Process & Quality Improvement:

- Implement review checks, SOPs, and documentation standards.

- Improve efficiency in month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance processes.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / (ICWA) - Mandatory

- 8-14 years of relevant experience

- Experience with GCCs or manufacturing clients is an advantage

- Strong knowledge of GST, Direct Tax, Ind-AS/IFRS, and accounting controls

- Good communication and leadership skills
