National Sales Head
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve growth targets and increase market share in B2B foam segment.
- Monitor and drive the performance of regional teams (West, South, etc.), ensuring consistent execution of sales plans.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a geographically distributed sales team including Area Sales Managers (ASMs).
- Set individual targets, conduct performance reviews, and support team development through regular coaching.
Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key accounts such as mattress manufacturers, OEMs, and institutional buyers.
- Support ASMs in onboarding high-potential clients and expanding key accounts nationally.
Market Intelligence:
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and regional dynamics to proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Recommend pricing, positioning, and product strategies based on ground-level market insights.
Sales Operations & Coordination:
- Liaise with production, dispatch, and finance teams to ensure smooth fulfilment and payment cycles.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collections with the support of regional teams.
Reporting & Forecasting:
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards to top management.
- Ensure accurate use of CRM and sales tracking tools across the team.
Representation & Branding:
- Represent the company at national-level exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events.
- Uphold the brand image and customer service standards in all sales interactions.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 3-5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
- Industry Exposure: Mandatory experience in the foam, mattress, or similar material-based industries.
Key Skills:
- Proven team leadership and sales planning abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Familiarity with regional markets and willingness to travel across India.
- Proficient in MS Office, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
