SAP MDG Technical Consultant

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Master Data Governance. The ideal candidate will have significant exposure to end-to-end project cycles, including Implementation, Support, Rollout, and Upgrade projects. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work closely with business and functional teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

- Design, develop, and enhance MDG technical components including UI Modeling, Data Models, BRF+, Workflow, FPM, and Web Dynpro.

- Implement SAP MDG-M, MDG-S, MDG-C, or other domain-specific solutions based on project requirements.

- Develop custom enhancements using ABAP, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and OData services.

- Integrate SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP PI/PO, SLT, ALE/IDOCs, Web Services.

- Ensure performance tuning, data quality, compliance, and best practices in MDG implementations.

Project Delivery:

- Lead and execute MDG activities for Implementation, Support, Rollout, and Upgrade projects.

- Support blueprinting, requirement gathering, technical design, development, testing, and go-live activities.

- Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MDG processes, workflows, and data load activities.

- Prepare technical documentation, design specs, and solution documents.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

- Partner with business users, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, present solutions, and manage expectations.

Quality & Process Management:

- Ensure compliance with coding standards, review processes, and project methodologies.

- Proactively suggest improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.

- Participate in UAT, SIT, and production support activities as required.

Required Skills

- Minimum 10+ years overall SAP technical experience.

- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP MDG Technical development.

- Strong understanding of MDG frameworks, data modeling, UI modeling, BRF+, Workflow, and FPM applications.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and time management capabilities.

Desired Skills

- Understanding of SAP MDG Functional processes and cross-module integration.

- Experience in MDG with other modules (MM, SD, FI, BP, etc.).

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments.
