At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects Our client, a global consulting firm, is supporting a leading real estate and construction group on a large-scale finance transformation program. As part of this initiative, they are seeking to bring on board a highly experienced SAP Finance Expert to lead core finance workstreams, ensure best-practice design, and manage senior-level stakeholder expectations. This is a high-visibility project where the SAP Finance Expert will be embedded onsite with the client in Gurugram. The role will involve close collaboration with CFO and CxO stakeholders, ensuring seamless SAP FI operations and integration with cross-functional teams in purchasing, projects, and sales. Key responsibilities: - Lead SAP FI (Finance) workstreams covering AP, AR, GL, payments, and bank integrations, with specific expertise in real estate finance operations - Oversee SAP-SFDC FI integrations to ensure accurate reporting and seamless data flows across functions - Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CFO, CxO), presenting complex finance/technology topics in a clear, actionable way - Collaborate cross-functionally with project, procurement, and sales teams to align finance processes with business needs - Drive end-to-end project management including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and issue resolution - Mentor and guide client-side teams, ensuring capability building and knowledge transfer throughout the engagement Your background: - 15+ years of overall SAP Finance experience, with at least 10+ years in the real estate sector - Proven track record as a subject-matter expert (SME) in SAP FI across AP, AR, GL, payments, and bank interfaces - Experience managing SAP-SFDC FI integrations and working across multi-system environments - Strong project management expertise - planning, governance, risk/issue management, and delivery - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage CFOs and senior executives - CA or MBA qualification preferred Other information: Location: Gurugram (onsite role). Duration: 6-9 months (full-time engagement). Client preference: Consultants with experience in top real estate firms (e.g., DLF, Godrej, Lodha, Prestige).
