Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understanding configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and providing financial expertise and direct end user support for the definition and resolution of issues in FI area.
- Conducting or participating in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs.
- Performing break/fix analysis and recommending solutions for finance related processes along with appropriate training and user support.
- Ensuring compliance to existing data requirements, and development of required data and reporting standards
- Ensuring regular SAP end-user support, query resolution and training for financial accounting ,cost accounting, especially for new a/cs staff.
- Preparation of routine and adhoc MIS reports as required as per the process of respective group companies.
- Maintenance of existing system by ensuring periodic developments and appropriate configurations
- Supporting SAP Consultants in other areas for a more integrated solution to user requirement.
- Taking responsibility of FI module implementation during new SAP Implementation rollouts.
- Keeping abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research.
- Participating in release upgrade or new functionality / enhancement assessments and make recommendations.
- Ensuring timely migration from old SAP version to new version, testing and version releases.
- Responding to user requirements, developing designs, and process modeling to assist in functional change requests.
- Reporting and working with ABAP Team to resolve software bugs. Incident and problem resolution during the up-gradation or new implementation projects ensuring minimum inconvenience to users.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP Module
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of accounting, reporting and legal compliances
- Good Functional understanding & strong business knowledge of accounting concepts
- Must have worked extensively in multi-currency environment & global projects (at least one end-to-end implementation.)
- Indepth knowledge of basic FICO functions GL, AR, AP, Bank, FA
- Good Exp on CC/PC/IO/PA
- Org structure, Payment terms, Substitutions, IDOC monitoring, WHT configs etc
- Input / Output tax, Interest Calculations & Forex revaluation configurations
- Exp of working on user authorizations, LSMW or BDCs
- Should have extensively worked on all kinds of enhancements
