S&A Law Offices - Senior Associate/Principal Associate - Direct Tax

- Representing clients before the Income Tax Authorities, appellate forums and Re-visionary Authorities

- Representing the client in search proceedings

- Drafting of application, submissions, representation, replies to show cause notices and appeals, write petitions, SLPs

- Assisting clients in assessment proceedings

- Planning and strategizing approach for litigation

- Assisting clients in obtaining tax deduction/exemption certificates from the Tax Authorities, under Section 12AA, Section 80G, Section 195/197

- Providing advisory and opinion under the Income Tax Act and other related laws, including Withholding Tax for tax efficient transaction advisory, structuring, restructuring and periodic tax compliance and filings

- Reviewing and drafting of agreement for tax efficient and compliant transactions

- Providing assistance and supervising financial accounting and transactions

- Providing advisory, support and hand holding on setup of new business entities in India or abroad keeping in mind the Direct Tax and other related laws in India

Prerequisites:

- Real world exposure to direct tax practice.

- Analytical, research & advocacy skills - Core to litigation & advisory success.

- Professional credibility and learning - continuous learning mindset keeps one updated in a fast changing field

- Optional commerce background is helpful but not compulsory
