ABOUT THE ROLE:

My Client is one of the leading Global 3PL & Freight Forwarding Organization

They are looking for a high performing Project Sales Manager to drive business development for Air Freight, Ocean Freight, ODC, Breakbulk, and Heavy-Lift Cargo.

This is a strategic, revenue-impact role focused on acquiring and managing high-value project cargo customers across EPC, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors.

ROLE OBJECTIVE :

To acquire, develop, and retain high-value project cargo customers by providing specialized logistics solutions for oversized, heavy-lift, breakbulk, time-critical, and multi-modal shipments ensuring profitable revenue growth and long-term business relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Drive new business acquisition for Project Logistics (Air, Ocean & Multimodal).

2. Identify opportunities in EPC, Infrastructure, Power, Heavy Engineering, Mining, Oil & Gas sectors.

3. Sell solutions for Breakbulk, ODC, Heavy-Lift, Charter Movements & Time-Critical Logistics.

4. Lead RFQs/RFPs, solution design, costing, and commercial proposals.

5. Coordinate with pricing, chartering, operations, and global network teams.

6. Manage key accounts, build long-term relationships, and ensure excellent service delivery.

7. Own revenue, margin, and pipeline growth for the project cargo vertical.

8. Track project developments in target industries and geographies.

9. Stay informed about competitor offerings, pricing trends, and regulatory updates (e.g., state permits, axle load regulations, port handling constraints).

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

1. Mandatory: Air Freight & Ocean Freight Sales experience.

2. Experience in Project Cargo / ODC / Breakbulk / Heavy-Lift / Charter business.

3. Strong understanding of routing, vessel/aircraft selection, port/airport operations, lifting & handling.

4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and consultative selling skills.

5. Ability to engage with CXO-level stakeholders in engineering & project-based industries.

6. Strong network in logistics, EPC, and heavy cargo sectors is highly preferred.
