We are seeking a dynamic and expenienced Sales Manager to join our logistics team in Mumbai.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic account development, client acquisition, and cross-selling logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target and develop corporate accounts for sustainable business growth.
- Acquire and onboard new clients across industries.
- Generate inbound and outbound air/sea cargo business from multiple origins and destinations.
- Meet clients to understand their logistics needs and offer cost-effective solutions.
- Support the sales team by identifying and targeting cross-functional business opportunities.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly reviews with clients to build trust and increase volumes.
- Coordinate with sales support and customer service teams to ensure high service standards.
- Ensure timely payment collections and follow up on overdue/outstanding payments.
- Share billing files with the accounts team and assist in collections.
- Act as the frontline contact for customer issues and provide operational support.
- Maintain records of customer details, sales visits, and ensure MIS compliance.
- Generate MIS reports for internal and client use.
- Liaise with overseas offices to support key accounts.
- Promote additional services including custom clearance, warehousing, transportation, heavy haulage, and 3PL solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, and supply chain sales.
- Preferably experience in fright forwarding.
- Strong client relationship and account management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM and MIS tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
