Sales Manager - Business Development - Precipitated Silica

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive sales growth of Precipitated Silica across key industrial segments, primarily Tyre, Rubber, and FMCG applications.

The role involves customer development, regional market expansion, technical sales support, application-based selling, and strengthening long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate should possess strong techno-commercial acumen and a proven track record in selling specialty chemicals or precipitated silica products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive sales of precipitated silica products within the assigned territory to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for business expansion.

- Acquire new customers by identifying prospects, conducting technical sales presentations, and converting leads into business.

- Promote application-based selling by understanding customer processes and recommending suitable silica grades.

- Identify and develop new markets and industry segments for precipitated silica products.

- Coordinate closely with the Technical, R&D, Production, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely product support and customer satisfaction.

- Conduct regular customer visits to understand technical requirements, resolve issues, and build long-term partnerships.

- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, and periodic sales reports.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements to formulate effective sales strategies.

- Participate in customer trials, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.

- Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit policies.

- Represent the organization at industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and customer events.
